Tropical Traditions Raw Honey Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

Recently, Tropical Traditions sent me a jar of their Organic Canadian Raw Honey. I was pretty excited to try it because my family loves honey. When I got it, I panicked a bit because it was a solid in the jar. I went and read about it and found that's how it is supposed to be. Being raw, it is much more solid than what we're used to buying in the store. What's typically in the store is processed to make it runny.

I started thinking of ways to use the raw honey. I tried it first in a cup of hot tea. I've gotten several samples of tea from different companies in the past couple months, so I've been on a big tea kick. I'm usually not much for putting stuff in my tea, but I figured I'd try it since I know my mom loves honey in her tea. I have to say this raw honey adds an amazing sweetness to my tea. I'm definitely hooked!

I found another way that I really like to use the honey. I've been making protein smoothies on mornings that I work out at the YMCA. I had been sweetening them with brown sugar, but that gave them a pretty grainy texture. I decided to try a teaspoon of the raw honey instead of the brown sugar. The honey adds a great sweetness to my morning smoothie without making it grainy. In case you ever want to try this, here's what I do:

In a blender, I mix one teaspoon of raw honey, a half cup of plain yogurt, a half cup of milk, half of a banana, half cup of some other kind of frozen fruit, one scoop of protein powder (I use strawberry flavored protein powder). I blend it until all of the fruit has broken up.

Buy a 17.6 oz. jar of Tropical Traditions Organic Canadian Raw Honey right now for only $10.99.

The Giveaway

Tropical Traditions would like to give one of my readers their very own 17.6 oz. jar of their Organic Canadian Raw Honey. (retails for $17.50).

Well I had my first Monday morning moment where I commented here with half an answer! I blame it on days beginning with "mon" :)

I love to dip my chicken into honey! I've only used the stuff that's very pretty, golden and bought in stores.

I've always gotten honey with my Wendy's chicken nuggets as well. Dip your fries into it...so tasty! :)

Grew up on a farm and Dad used to bring in wild honey from the wooded areas that certainly was unprocessed. Initially the jars of honey were runny and then hardened with time. We used honey on pancakes, bread and of course in both coffee and hot tea.
