Happy hump day!
I sent in my registration yesterday for a 75 mile bike ride on September 22. Up to now, my longest ride has been 55 miles (because of a wrong turn). This will be a mostly flat ride, so my hope is that it'll be easier for me to make it 75 miles. I've had problems on all my long distance rides with cramping around mile 40-45. Some research I've done says that I'm probably losing too much salt in my sweat, so I'm planning to pack some salted peanuts and maybe some other salty snacks. I may even add a bit of salt to my energy drinks. I'm hoping to get a short 20 mile ride in this weekend, which will probably mean the 75 mile ride will put me over 400 miles for the year. I'm pretty proud of that and don't have any plans on stopping there.
My wife is about 12 weeks pregnant. The doctor's office gave her a prescription for the nausea and she's feeling better now, but she's still not feeling great. It helps when she sleeps well at night.
